John “Scoot” Chalmers

Chalmers-At his residence in Windsor on Wednesday June 29, 2016. John “Scoot” Norman Kenneth Chalmers, age 27 yrs. formerly of Courtright. Treasured father of Tristan Hudson. Loving son of Celie Chalmers of Courtright and John Chalmers. Dear brother of Lee Chalmers of Sarnia. John is also survived by: his grandmother, Ruth Tuckey of Courtright; his aunt, Deb (Perry) Vannieuwenhuyze of Sombra; his uncle. Dave (Diane) Tuckey of Courtright and by his nephew, Klaeton Duncan. He will be fondly remembered by Sharon and Larry Avey, Gord, Chrstine and Christopher Hamilton. Numerous aunts, an uncle and cousins also survive. He was predeceased by; his grandfather, Ken Tuckey (2014); his cousin, Kyle Brandon (2013) and by Meme and Pa Chalmers. Scoot was a talented musician and avid sports enthusiast who enjoyed playing hockey and rooting for the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. Friends will be received at Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Monday July 4, 2016 from 4-7 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to Brentwood Recovery Home, 2335 Dougall Ave. Windsor ON N8X 1S9.
