Karen Culligan

Culligan- Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Thursday, September 16, 2021. Karen Eilleen Culligan, age 62 years of Corunna. Loving wife of Doug Benstead. Dear mother of Jeremy Longworth, Sarah Longworth (Kyle Giles), Danielle Longworth, Aaron Culligan, Derek Culligan (Dawn) and Shannon Culligan-Sheldon (Chris). Cherished grandmother to numerous grandchildren. Loving sister of Chris Humble (John), Phil Moffit (Wendy), Jeff Moffit, Paul Moffit, Neil Moffit, Missy Jackson (Dave) and Janey Moffit (Bart). Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Karen was a devoted longtime volunteer with the Girl Guides of Canada. In keeping with Karen’s wishes cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday September 21, 2021 from 5- 7p.m. A private family service will be held with a committal followoing  at Our Lady of Mercy Cemetery. Due to current COVID protocols all in attendance must wear a mask/face covering and observe social distancing guidelines. The maximum number of attendees at one time will be monitored. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Girl Guides or to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia.   1. Shannon and all the rest of the family. Please accept our condolences in the loss of Karen. She was a great and giving lady. Many young women benefitted from her leadership. Her children both biological and acquired are lucky to have had her in their lives as a caring mother , grandmother and friend. May she rest in peace. Sharon LaPier and family
