Tuckey- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Sunday March 2, 2014. Kenneth Claude Tuckey, age 75 years of Courtright. Beloved husband of 56 years to Ruth. Loving father of Deb Vannieuwenhuyze and her husband Perry of Sombra, Celie Chalmers and Dave Tuckey and his wife Diane all of Courtright. Ken was a special “Popa” and adored by his; grandchildren, Adam (Lindsay) Brandon, Brianne (Jon) Barnes, Hayley (Andrew) Robertson, Curtis (Darian) Tuckey, John Chalmers, Lee Chalmers, Clint (Jodene) Vannieuwenhuyze and Greg Vannieuwenhuyze and great-grandchildren, Harli, Olivia, Emma, Hannah, Amelia, Klaeton, Liam and Mila. Ken is also survived by his sister, Marilyn Garbowski (Mike) of St. Albert, Alberta and by numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by; his grandson, Kyle Brandon (2013); his parents, Phyllis and Claude Tuckey; his brothers, Floyd and Fred; his sister, Freda (Earl) McCabe; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd and Lena Houston; his brother-in-law (brother), Dick (Doris) Houston and by his sister-in-law, Betty (Jim) Newhook. Ken retired from CN in 1990 after having worked for there for 30 years and was especially proud to have been the first conductor on the railway to wear a wrist watch in 1964. He was also a long time member of Courtright United Church. Friends will be received at the Courtright United Church on Thursday March 6, 2014 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. where a celebration of life will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Autism Awareness or to the Courtright United Church.
