Pettit- With great sadness and heavy hearts the family would like to announce the sudden passing on Tuesday October 20, 2020 of a son, brother, grandson, uncle and nephew, Kyle John Pettit at the age of 27. Born January 14, 1993, Kyle will be lovingly remembered by many as a young man who loved his family, time spent outdoors and as “the life of the party”. Kyle impacted and inspired so many with his positive energy, charming personality and the smile always worn on his face. Kyle will be greatly missed by; his father, John Pettit of Courtright; his mother, Deb DeGroot (Robert) of London; his siblings, Christina and Devin; his grandparents, John and Ann Pettit of Corunna, Minnie and Bob Mitchell of Sarnia and Jack and Joan DeGroot of Forest and by his many aunts, uncles, cousins, niece and nephew. Due to COVID-19 the family will be having a private by invitation only visitation and memorial service at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna. If you are invited, masks/face coverings are required and you must practice social distancing at all times. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to a charity of your choice that deals with addiction services. This must be a terrible time for all of you!
I was Kyle's E.A. At Mooretown Public School. I loved his spirit and his outlook on life. I was deeply moved at the news of his passing.
I remember Kyle as a fella that didn’t alway choose the easy road. He often questioned the ways of the world and he had great empathy for others and was concerned with righting wrongs.
I am sending you all my deepest sympathy.
