Edwards- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Friday July 8, 2022. Leo Rayburn Edwards, age 94 years of Corunna. Loving husband of the late Mary Edwards (2014). Much loved father of Linda Alway (Jerry) of Thedford, Wanda Lalonde (Andre) of Sarnia, Pam Scott (George) and Leah MacLean (Troy) all of Corunna. Proud grandfather of Mike (Carla), Dana (Marcus), Tanya, David, Crystal, Greg, Steven (Amy), Stacey (Craig), Nicole (Dan), Adam, Joey, Chris (Katie), Kody (Danielle), Mckenna (Cole), Emma, Steffany (Jon) and great-grandfather of Kaleb (Sana), Mikayla (Josh), Keely, Avery, Ronnie, Hannah, Zeke, Dakota, Jordyn, Deven, Taylor, Mackenzie, Kendall, James, Jayden, Arianna, Blake Brittny, Braydon, Abigale, Natasha, Nevaeh, Nya, Destiny, Hunter, Serenity, Addisyn, Scarlett, Ava, Layla, Ben, Sophia, Kasey, Bennett and Finn. Leo is also survived by his sister, Marion Mayo of London. He was predeceased by; his son, Dave Edwards (2016); his son-in-law, Ted Alway (2017); his grandsons, Paul Always (1981) Jim South (2021) and by his brothers and sisters, Harry, Keith, Ron, Tom, Gertrude, Leona, Edith and Margaret. Leo was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #62 in Sarnia and later Branch #447 in Corunna. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday August 19, 2022 from 4-6 p.m. where a memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday August 20, 2022 with Elaine Walker officiating. A celebration of Leo’s life will follow immediately after the funeral at the Corunna Legion and all are welcome to attend. Cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia or to the Corunna Legion Poppy Fund.
