Lillian Cucksey

Cucksey– Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia on Wednesday April 5, 2023. Lillian Florida Marie Cucksey, age 93 years formerly of Corunna. Loving wife of the late Donald Cucksey (2009). Much loved mother William Cucksey of Wallaceburg, Doug Cucksey and his wife Diane of Corunna, David Cucksey of Dutton, and Lou Ann Cucksey of Merlin. Treasured grandmother of Danielle, Darryl and Devin and great-grandmother of Dylan, Jordan, Hunter, Meighan, Keegan and Lance and great-great-grandmother of Luna. Lillian was the dear sister of Selena Hurst, Harriett Newby, Gloria Newby and Roger Newby and sister-in-law of John Oke and Marlene Newby. She was predeceased by; her sisters, Evelyn Holmes, Jane Oke and Bernice Newby; her grandson, Darren; her brothers, Byron and Harry Newby and brother-in-law, Ron Hurst. Lillian will be remembered for her long standing involvement with the Rebekah Lodge. A special thank you is extended to the staff on Michigan at Vision Nursing Home for the care and compassion shown to Lillian and her family during her time spent there. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Monday April 10, 2023 from 4-6 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. Gabrielle Heidinger officiating. Cremation has already taken place and the interment of cremated remains will be held in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
