Thomas- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the comfort of his own home on Wednesday August 10th, 2016. Lorne Douglas Thomas, age of 65yrs. of Courtright. Loving son of Esther Thomas of Corunna. Treasured father of Tina Thomas of Alvinston, Tiffany Thomas and Brent Thomas both of Courtright. Much loved brother of David Thomas (Annette) of Beaumont AB., Jennien Potts (Rick) of Sherwood Park, AB., Gwen Shepley (Dan) and Joann Thomas all of Courtright and Bryan Thomas (Teresa) of Brigden. He will be sadly missed by “The Kitty”. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was predeceased by his father Lorne Thomas (2006). Lorne was retired from Clysdale Heat Treating and was a past employee with the St. Clair Parkway Commision. A special thanks is extended to Dr. Yoshida and the oncology nurses, Dr. Crombeen and Cassie from VHA for the care and compassion shown to Lorne during his illness. In keeping with Lorne’s wishes cremation has taken place and a private family graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice-Sarnia, Bluewater Health Oncology Department or to Corunna United Church.
