Lyla Nicol

Nicol- Peacefully after a lengthy illness at Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia, on Sunday August 1, 2010. Lyla Margaret Nicol (nee Boyle) age 87 years formerly of Corunna. Beloved wife of the late Alex (2000). Loving mother of Barbara Nicol and her husband Terry Fulton of Petrolia and Bob Nicol of St. Clair Township. Devoted Nana of Adrienne Seabrooke and her husband Michael, Erica Warder and her partner Michael Lesiuk, Andrew Warder and his friend Heather Norris, Justin Nicol and his friend Mary-Anne Davies, Kyle Nicol, Jason Fulton and his partner Tara Chovancek and Christopher Fulton. Also surviving is her caring sister-in-law Edie Boyle and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents George and Margaret (Beggs) and by her brothers, Ray, Elmer, Del and Harry. Lyla had retired after many years as a Public Elementary School teacher and she was a lifetime member of Corunna United Church Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday August 3, 2010 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. George Bell officiating. Cremation has taken place. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to Corunna United Church or to Lambton Meadowview Villa, Petrolia.     Barbara, Robert, and families, I didn’t know your mother recently passed away. Marion Hargrove called me this evening (Saturday August 7th)

    I remember many wonderful visits with your family as a child.
