Airey- Peacefully at Bluewater Health, Mitton St. Site, Sarnia on Tuesday September 8, 2009. Mabel Airey aged 92 years formerly of Courtright. Loving mother of; Roger Airey and his wife Anne-Marie of Corunna, Pat Sexton and her husband Bob of R.R. #1 Courtright, Dave Airey and his wife Joan of Mississauga, Bryan Airey and his wife Lynne of R.R. #5 Forest and Charlie Muxlow and his wife Sue of Sarnia and mother-in-law of Denny Messeroll of London. Dear grandmother of Jason, Julie, Scott, Kerri Sue, Cheryl, Lauren, Donna, Julie, Brad, Greg and Steve. Also survived by 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great great-granddaughter; by her sister, Norma Saul of Hope, B.C.; sister-in-law, Marion Stubbs of Shingle House, Pa.; special friends, Helen Vandenvenne and Emmy Manders and by numerous nieces and nephews. Mabel was predeceased by her daughter Donna Messeroll (2004); by her grandson, David Muxlow, and by several brothers and sisters. Mabel and her family established Airey Bowling Lanes in Courtright in the late 1960’s. She was a long time supporter of Courtright United Church and thoroughly enjoyed her time baking bread, quilting and embracing all with her wonderful hugs. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Thursday September 10, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m.. The funeral service will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. from the Courtright United Church with Rev. Jill Rogers officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donation to the Courtright United Church or to the charity of one’s choice.
