Madelon Foster

Foster- Unexpectedly at Village on the St. Clair, Sarnia on Saturday, December 12, 2020, Madelon Louise Foster passed away just 4 days shy of her 87th Birthday. She was a loving sister of Phyllis Doyon of Indiana and a treasured aunt to numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Professor Herbert and Blanche Bott; her brother, Robert Bott and by her sisters, Janet Keeley and Mary Rita Larose. Madelon was born in South Bend, Indiana and came to Canada in 1968. She retired from Bayer (Polysar) after 21 years of service and was an active member of St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna and a longtime member of St. Joseph’s C.W.L. We always knew when Madelon arrived at our family get-togethers by hearing her exuberant “WOO HOO!” and we are quite certain that she announced her arrival at the Pearly Gates in the same fashion. She had a wonderful sense of humour and loved to make people feel special. The family would like to extend our enormous thanks and gratitude to all of Madelon’s “Sweeties” at Village on the St. Clair for their compassion and care shown to Madelon during her time there. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Monday, December 21, 2020 from 1-2 p.m. Please note that due to COVID-19 masks/face coverings are mandatory and you must supply your own. The maximum number of visitors at one time along with social distancing will be strictly enforced. A memorial service will follow with Deacon Lyle Lalonge officiating. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Church Building Fund. “R.I.P. Her smile and uplifting "Hi Sweetiepie" upon entering her apt will be deeply missed. A friendly person who stopped to speak to everyone on the go by! Making sure to always leave them with a smile 🙂

Safe journey Maddie – see you on the other side one day – I'll listen for the Wooohoo!
