Dear mother of Linda Alway (Ted), Dave Edwards (Cherry Durley), Wanda Lalonde (Andre) all of Sarnia, Pam Sim (George Scott) and Leah MacLean (Troy) all of Corunna. Proud grandmother of Mike (Carla), Dana, Tanya, David, Crystal, Greg, Jim, Steven (Amy), Stacey (Dave), Nicole (Dan), Adam (Taryn), Joey, Chris (Becky), Kody, Mckenna, Emma, Steffany (Wes) and great-grandmother of Kaleb, Mikayla, Keely, Avery, Ronnie, Hannah, Zeke, Dakota, Jordyn, Deven, Taylor, Mackenzie, Kendall, James, Jayden, Arianna, Blake, Brittny, Braydon, Abigale, Natasha, Nevaeh, Nya, Destiny, Hunter, Serenity, Addisyn, Scarlett and Ava. Mary is also survived by; her brothers, Wm. “Bill” Hornbostel of St. Thomas and Fred Hornbostel (Nancy) of South Carolina and by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by; her parents, Florence and Fred Hornbostel; her grandson Paul Alway (1981); her sister, Fay Gillespie and sister-in-law, Vivian Hornbostel. Mary was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch # 62 –Sarnia and later Br. #447-Corunna. A celebration of life for Mary will be held at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Thursday May 15 2014 at 11:00 a.m. with Elaine Walker officiating. Cremation has already taken place. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Canadian Cancer Society.
