Routley- It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Mary “Marion” Elizabeth Routley at Vision Nursing Home, Sarnia in her 87th year on Sunday September 20, 2009. Dear mother of Carolyn Lalonde and her husband Mike of Sarnia and Janet Penney and her husband Bob of Corunna. Loving grandmother of Lisa Bohdal (Joe), Matthew Lalonde, David Penney (Kylee), Laura Penney and great-grandmother of Madison, Chloe, Hayden and Aubrey. Also survived by; her sisters, Bernice Spearman of Guelph and Lois Kettle of Chatham and by her brother, Tom Hyatt of Petrolia. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Marion was predeceased by; her husband, Bob (1993); her son, Bob (1972) and by; her brothers, Bob, Keith, John, Ellwood and Alfred Hyatt. Marion was a lifelong member of Courtright United Church, she worked at the Courtright Post Office and she enjoyed her time travelling, having ventured to Australia, Alaska, England and various U.S. destinations over the years. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday September 22, 2009 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where the funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Jim Kettle officiating. Interment will follow in Moore-Union Cemetery, Mooretown. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or to the Courtright United Church.
