Mike Rome

Rome- Unexpectedley at his residence on Saturday August 27, 2022. Michael “Mike” Harry Rome, age 63 years of Sarnia and formerly of Corunna, Wallaceburg and Toronto. Treasured life partner of Paul Fetter for the past 28 years. Dear son of Harry and the late Merilyn(2020) Rome of Corunna. Much loved brother of Lynn Gabovic and her husband Joseph of Brampton. Cherished uncle of Nicole Brodie and her husband Trevor of Georgetown and great-uncle of Hudson and Beckham. Mikes working career was in the banking industry where he had worked for National Trust, Bank of Nova Scotia and Main Street Credit Union prior to retirement. He had a lifelong obsession for classic cars- most notably his 1976 Buick Skylark SR. In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Sarnia and District Humane Society or to the Inn of the Good Shepherd.   8. Oh my. I worked with Mike at Scotiabank In Chatham. My favourite memory-we had a party with Christmas Vacation theme. Mike was Cousin Eddie with blue polyester pants, a black turtle neck dickie with a white v neck sweater. RIP buddy and I will miss your laugh.
