Sinclair– Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side on Thursday May 25, 2023. Murray Ross Sinclair age 82 years of Corunna. Loving husband of 59 years to Gaye Carol (nee Minshall) Sinclair. Dear father of Daryl Sinclair and his wife Karen of Clarkston, Michigan and Sara Sinclair and her husband Christopher Plaskos of Plymouth, Massachusetts. Treasured grandfather of Ryan, Ella, Sean, Finn and Milo. Murray was the loving brother of Sandra McNall and Marilyn Warner (Ken) all of London. He was predeceased by his parents Ken and Lorraine Sinclair. Murray retired from Ontario Hydro in 1993 after having been the manager of Units 3 &4 at the Lambton Generating Station. He led a very active life as he was very involved in boating as he loved to sail and operate motor boats for which his children loved to ski behind. He golfed in Mooretown before joining the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, where he was a curling director and board member. He was presented with the David R. Stratford Award for the most respected member in 2010. Murray and Gaye enjoyed travelling in their RV as they travelled from coast to coast several times while visiting friends and family along the way. The last several years they enjoyed wintering in Weslaco, Texas in the Rio Grande Valley and spending their time in the summer at the Sinclair Family Cottage near Grand Bend. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Tuesday May 30, 2023 from 4- 6 p.m. where a funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday with Rev. Bob Mercer officiating. Cremation will follow and Murray will be laid to rest in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Brantford at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia. I am so very sorry to hear of Mr Sinclair’s passing hearing this news is very sad. I was just sitting with my dad tonight remembering all the great times my sister and i had playing pool in the basement and going for boat rids on the lake great memories for sure. he will truely be missed by me and my family you.
