Nancy Forestell

Forestell-Nancy Forestell, loving mother of 3 and beloved wife to John Forestell, died peacefully surrounded by family on February 14, 2023 after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. Nancy was born March 13, 1965 in London, Ontario. She was preceded in death by her parents Paul Beaumier and Joanne Dunn. She is survived by her devoted husband John of 32 years as well as her 3 amazing children; Jordan, John Jr, and Julia. Nancy was cherished by her siblings and was the oldest sister to Brian Beaumier, Jimmy (Amanda) Dunn, Karen (Brian) Ely, and Joe (Jesse) Dunn; sister-in-law to Sharee (Ed) Gotkowski, Mike (Lise) Forestell, and Larry Forestell. Nancy was an incredibly loving and loyal wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was the ultimate example of unconditional love and it poured over into everything that she was involved in. Nancy committed her professional career at Coronation Park Day Care for over 30 years where she proudly worked as an Early Childhood Educator. She loved her students and dedicated her life helping to shape the lives of young children. Nancy absolutely loved being and staying active. She was an active member of both Brigden Country Quilters as well as the Sarnia Quilter’s Guild. She absolutely loved to travel and cherished any activity that was outdoors. Above all else, Nancy was the most passionate about her three children. The pride she felt for each of them was deeply undeniable. She also loved her family and friends with a ferocity that was palpable. If you were ever around her for any period of time, you would inevitably leave feeling special. That was her super power and something her friends and family will always proudly remember her for. Nancy was a beautiful person, inside and out. She was the ultimate warrior. She had so many people who supported her, loved her, and cared for her throughout her battle. The family would like to specifically thank all of the doctors and nurses at Blue Water Health including Dr Kim and all of the Palliative Care staff, Dr Yoshida Oncology, as well as all the at-home PSW’s Karen, Sydney, and Beth that allowed Nancy the opportunity to come home and spend time with family one last time. Lastly, thank you to St Joseph Hospice Facility for providing a peaceful space for Nancy’s final journey. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday February 22, 2023 from 4-7 p.m. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Thursday February 23, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. 14. My mom was the most generous, loving and kindest person I have ever known in my entire life. The absolute role model. She always took care of other people before herself and was always thinking of others. She made friends with everyone and she touched peoples lives in a way that could never be replaced. She always made sure to remind me just how much she loved me and inspired me to be the best person I could be. I will continue to look up to her and follow in her footsteps. I will continue to be the daughter she is proud of and make the people in my life feel as special as she made me feel. Her memory will live on forever through her family and friends. I love you more then I could ever put into words. Rest in peace.

Our sincere condolences John and family. Nancy made such an impression on our family during gymnastics. We enjoyed all the laughs with her in the stands, at the meets, and travel time. She is an amazing woman and we are so thankful for the time we had with her.

  30. Nancy was the most loveable and accepting person I know. She loved everyone she met and everyone loved her. She was my sister, and someone that I looked up to so much… a role model for all. She set the bar high!! I got to watch her go off to college (living with her friends, so cool I remember thinking), graduate (guess I have to as well now?), meet John(not so bad Nancy I said lol), get married (and what a beautiful princess, I was in awe), buy their first home and have their first child and later push and not give up for her dream to have more kids. Oh yes, I admired my sister…. a beautiful home, a great circle of friends a big family and the apple of Paul’s eye. She faced life head on, accepted and persevered through challenges. She did so with a smile, a laugh and such a warm love. She taught me so much. I will cherish the trips, the camping days, the family dinners and so many wonderful times over all these years. I will miss your laughter and the bond we shared. I know dad n Jo will look after her in heaven. I will watch for the butterflies, especially the blue ones Nancy. 🦋🦋

I was so very sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. She truly had such a kind, nurturing and joyful spirit; a bright light that has touched so many of us. I am grateful to have shared some of those simple but meaningful life moments with her – whether it was with the special little ones at Coronation or while we sat for hours up in the loft while we waited at the gym chatting and laughing about life and family. You will be deeply missed Nancy but without a doubt you will remain with each and everyone whose lives you touched

  37. I’m so sorry to hear of Nancy’s passing. Although I never met her personally, she was an amazing friend to my mom during her battle with cancer. My mom looked up to Nancy and always spoke so highly of her. She visited my mom in the hospital last month when they were both sick, offering love and support even during her own battle. Although I wish they were both still with us, it brings me peace to know that mom has a great friend in heaven, and so does Nancy.
I wish I could have known Nancy, she was so deeply loved and respected. Sending lots of love and strength to the Forestell family and friends.
