Ryan- It is with broken hearts and immense sadness that we announce that Patrick William John Ryan, aged 75 years of Corunna, passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia On Thursday June 11, 2020. Pat was the devoted husband to Louise (nee Bourassa) for 53 years. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Coleen (Scott) Driscoll and Jay (Mary) Ryan and fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Ryan, Danielle and Devon Driscoll and Brandon Ryan. Pat is survived by; his brother, Doug (Linda); his sisters, MaryEllen (Gord) Elliott, Alice Ryan, Sherry Grant and Annie (Art) Brown; his brother-in-law, Michel (Dale) Bourassa; his sister-in-law, Denyse Bourassa (Daniel) and by many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by; his parents, John (Tuddy) and Alice Ryan; his brothers, Charles and David Ryan; his sisters, Sarah Dixon and Dessie Griffin and by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Louis and Rolande Bourassa. Pat was a proud retired member of the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local # 663. Music was a lifelong passion and he could be found playing his guitar and singing all over Lambton County. His epic trips with his motorcycle, usually with his brother Charlie, took him across Canada and the Northeastern U.S. The arena was his second home and he was his grandchildren’s greatest fan and never missed an opportunity to watch them play and cheer them on and he was a loyal fan of the Mooretown Flags and Sarnia Legionnaires. Our deepest gratitude for Dr. Maddison and his nurses Shari and Ann as well as Dr. Lilly for their incredible guidance and care. Heartfelt gratitude is also extended to VON nurses Steph and Lance who’s compassion and care allowed Pat to remain at home. A special thanks to the wonderful staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, your compassion, kindness and attentive care in Pat’s final days will be forever remembered. Thanks to all of our family and friends for your love and support- Pat treasured the time he spent with all of you! Cremation has taken place and due to the pandemic, a celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
