Schnitzler– Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Monday August 1, 2022.  Peter Tracey Schnitzler, age 79 years of Corunna. Loving husband of 45 years to Kathy. Dear stepfather of Craig Lawrence (Wendy) of Sarnia, Kelly Lawrence (Jamie Kimball) of St. John, NB and Caralee Ridley (Adam) of Sarnia. Treasured grandfather of Nicole (Andrea), Brianne (Keith), Allison (Mike), Alana (Matt), Adam, Olivia (Randy), Tanner (Riley) and Leeam (Morgan). Cherished great-grandfather of 8 great-grandchildren. Peter is also survived by; his sister, Patti Turcotte (Richard) of Thunder Bay; his niece, Jennifer Russak (John); his nephew, Kristopher Turcotte (Shelby) and by his lifelong friend Jerry Donnelly (Rita) of Kitchener. Many cousins also survive. Peter was a 4th Degree Knights of Columbus Member. He enjoyed operating his own photography and music business- Memories and Melodies. He retired from Sears Canada after 32 years of service and went on to work in security and for Hull Bus Lines. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday August 5, 2022 from 5-7 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna on Saturday August 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Gilbert Simard celebrating. Cremation has already taken place and a private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or to the Sarnia and District Humane Society.     Peter was our photographer for our wedding in 1975. From that time on Peter, my husband and I communicated online with numerous jokes and funnies. He was an excellent photographer and a very social and amicable guy.
