Chapman- Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia following complications from a fall on Sunday June 19, 2016. Phyllis Shirley Chapman, age 81 yrs. of Corunna. Beloved wife of the late Phillip Chapman (1972). Loving mother of Penny Roberts (Bill) of Courtright, Lynne Paisley (Jim) of Sarnia, Susan Smith (Paul) of Mooretown and David Chapman (Lynda) of Corunna. Much loved grandmother of Ezio DeSantis, Melissa Snider (Carlisle), Julie Wray, Nicole Somers (Shaun), Jody Barnes (Ed), Jason Lucas (Jeannine), Lisa Smith, Amanda Jenkins (Sean) and Amber Chapman and great-grandmother of 11 great-grandchildren. Phyllis is also survived by; her brother, Bill Archer and by her sister, Ida Hehn. She was predeceased by; her brothers, Clair Archer, Bob Archer and John Archer; her sisters, Cecilia Collins and Audrey Brown; her son-in-law, Roy Lucas and by her parents John and Bertha Archer. Phyllis was a lifelong Corunna resident and retired from Canada Post after 19 years of service. Friends will be received at Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday June 22, 2016 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Canon Stephen Harnadek officiating. Cremation will follow. As expressions of sympathy friends who wish may send memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
