Bellaire- Peacefully surrounded by his loving family following a lengthy battle with cancer at the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia on Tuesday May 19, 2015. Rishard “Rick” “Chevy” Joseph Bellaire, age 60 yrs. of Corunna. Much loved husband of 25 years to Chris. Loving father of Adam Bellaire (Meghan) of London, Chad Bellaire of Barrie, Carrie Elliott (Rob) of Corunna and Heather Foster of Sarnia. Amazing papa of Connor, Keagan, Rylee, Taya, Olivia and Orion. Rick was the loving brother of Aurel, Paul, Albert (Eleanor), Ernest (Dawn), Rejeanne (Andre), Jocelyne (Ronald), Donald (Denise), Yvon (Ramona), Ron (Christine), Pauline (Rene) and brother-in-law of Doreen, Ron (Norma) Johnston and Cathy (Jeff) Agostino. He was the adored uncle of Melissa, Kaila (Aurora) Carley and Lyle. He was predeceased by; his son, Ryan Foster; his parents, Ernest and Blanche Bellaire; his brothers, Hector (Janet) and Jerry; his sister-in-law, Pauline, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Donald and Louise Johnston and brother-in-law Randy Johnston. Rick met his soul mate 25 years ago and showed her and everyone else everyday what she meant to him by way of his words and actions. Rick overflowed with love and smiles for his children and grandchildren and was always the first one to sit on the floor and play with the kids and make sure each one knew they were loved. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten by everyone he touched. He will be fondly remembered as a fisherman, hunter, avid shopper and camper and was extremely proud of his Metis heritage. He was a proud and respected 34 year employee of OPG-Courtright. Friends will be received at Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Friday May 22, 2015 from 2-5 pm. and again on Saturday May 23, 2015 from 10-11:30 a.m. where the funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. with Deacon Lyle Lalonge officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers sympathy may be expressed through memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia, Lambton County Developmental Services, Petrolia or to the Bluewater Health-Palliative Care Unit, Sarnia.
