Crombeen– Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph’s Hospice, Sarnia on Saturday July 10, 2021. Robert “Bob” Crombeen, age 87 years of Corunna. Beloved husband of 56 years to Geraldine (nee Gerrits). Loving father of Joan Steinsky and her husband George of Toronto, Frank Crombeen and his wife Sue of Toronto and Brenda Ross of Waterloo. Treasured grandfather of Kaitlyn and Sarah Crombeen and Jack and Heather Ross. Also surviving are his brothers, Al Crombeen and Ben Crombeen (Carol) and his sister, Margaret Trepanier (Harold). Bob was born in the Netherlands to the late Frank and Ema Crombeen. He was predeceased by his brothers, Emiel, Peter, Frank and Ted and by his sisters, Annie Vink, Julia Jongerius, Marie Ysebaert and Tillie Simmons. Bob was a longtime member of the Knight’s of Columbus and was Fourth Degree Knight. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Wednesday July 14, 2021 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Due to current COVID restrictions, those who wish to attend must RSVP and select a time to attend using the link https://signup.com/login/entry/595489736017 A private Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Church, Corunna with Fr. Dan Vere celebrating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Corunna. Please note that masks/face coverings are mandatory along with social distancing.
