How sorry we were to read of Shirley’s death. We are in Montreal at my aunt’s interment so are unable to be with you at this time. Will be in touch shortly.

  6. My condolences to the family. Allow me to share a short story to illustrate Shirley’s sense of humour. While teaching together at Blackwell (if I remember correctly) Shirley arrived one day with a 6 quart basket of highly polished red apples for the staff. On the top row was a yellow and green warty gourd the same size as the apples. That gourd was for me. Shirley appreciated my offbeat sense of humour which we obviously shared. Sorry for your loss Dave.

  7. To the family – Sad to hear of Shirley’s passing. I was the secretary at King George VI during a number of Shirley’s teaching years there. She was a friendly and pleasant person to be around. I travel Cathcart Blvd. often and pass the former Donald residence.
