Wenstrom- The family regrets to announce the sudden and unexpected passing of our brother, Wayne, on Thursday March 9, 2023 at the age of 79. Predeceased by his parents Clifford and Hildred (nee Silver), he is survived by his sisters Marjorie and Karen McEwen (Peter) and his brothers Gary (Heather), Neil (Karen) and Bruce. Wayne will also be missed by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Wayne’s family meant everything to him, never missing any family functions. He was a very kind and generous soul helping anyone in need. He was very passionate about all sports and enjoyed watching and reading about them all. He was an active supporter of the Mooretown Flags, Sarnia Legionnaires and Sarnia Sting. His love of curling led him to travel and attend numerous World Curling Championships. He enjoyed playing golf and would frequently be seen at Timmies enjoying a good cup of coffee and conversation with friends. Cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral service. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to be made in Wayne’s memory to the Heart and Stroke foundation, The Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice. To Wayne’s family and friends.
Wayne will be missed here at Thompson Gardens, his home for the last few years. Wayne enjoyed bowling and chatting with his friends. He never missed a good meal with us. You would often see him leaving to join his friends at Tim Hortons for a late night coffee
Condolences to the family and friends
