William “Bill” Waybrant

Waybrant- Peacefully at his residence with his family by his side, on Wednesday May 3, 2017. William “Bill” Alexander Waybrant, age 73 yrs. of Courtright. Beloved husband of 50 years to Esther. Loving father of Chris Li (Danny) of Petrolia, Bob Waybrant (Sheri) and Carrie Waybrant (Hans) all of Sarnia.Treasured grandfather of Dalton Li, Brandon Li, Ethan Leigghio-Traxler and Noah Waybrant. Bill was the loving brother of Carol Currah (Don) of Ipperwash, Lenny Waybrant (Dianne) of Sombra, Chick Waybrant of Courtright, Dale Waybrant of Courtright and Susan Donivan of Sarnia and brother-in-law of George MacNeill (Karen) of Red Deer, AB and Don MacNeill (Sherry) of Sarnia. Bill was predeceased by; his parents, Alex and Marion Waybrant; his brother, Bob Waybrant and by his brother-in-law, Bill MacNeill. Bill enjoyed a wide variety of sports including, fishing, curling, baseball, figure skating, hockey, golf and rugby to name a few and could quite often be found coaching or commenting from the sidelines. When not on the sidelines supporting his grandchildren Bill loved travelling with them abroad to many great destinations. Bill was retired from Local #530 of the I.B.E.W. Friends will be received at the Knight Funeral Home, 588 St. Clair Parkway, Corunna on Sunday May 7, 2017 from 1-4 p.m. where a funeral service will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. with Allan McKeown officiating. Cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers the family has asked that those who wish to express sympathy do so through a memorial donation to support less fortunate children in sports through the Canadian Tire Jumpstart Program www.jumpstart.canadiantire.ca or to make a donation to their favourite charity.
